If you're looking for a cheap fix for a damaged, cracked, or bent valve head, this used replacement cylinder head can get you out of a pinch without breaking the bank. These heads are inspected for piston to valve damage, bent valves, cracks, broken bolts, corrosion, etc. We do not sell heads with excessive damage, cracks, or bent valves. All broken bolts are removed before shipping. If there are any stripped threads, they are repaired before shipping. We also make sure there is not excessive corrosion. Most corrosion occurs as a result of using the wrong coolant for the engine. It's very common for people to switch to traditional green glycol based coolant, but the reason GM does not use this is that it is actually corrosive to aluminum. Since a large number of people switch to this coolant anyways, many intake manifolds, cylinder heads and other parts have internal corrosion from this. We do not guarantee parts to be free from any of this corrosion, but we do check to make to make sure that if there is corrosion that it is only within the bounds of the water jackets on the block/gaskets. In other words as long as the corrosion does not pass beyond the edge of the water jacket where it would affect headgasket seal, it is considered an ok head. Before we ship out the heads, they are also cleaned and the surfaces are prepped for install. These are once again used heads, and may not be perfectly clean as they were when they were brand new. If you want brand new heads, you should buy brand new heads. Once you've received your cylinder head, just make sure to clean everything off with brakecleaner to remove any grease/oils from handling or dust from shipping, before installing on your engine
We match up the casting/style of the cylinder head to match the year and model of your vehicle, so it will exactly match the heads that came on your car. We cannot guarantee this match if the parts on your vehicle are not original. Please e-mail mikem@milzymotorsports.com with any questions.
These heads are sold individually, not as a pair.
Typical lead time varies as it depends what application the heads are for, but usually it's around 10 business days.
