We've been working on perfecting this kit for a while now. Please excuse the picture being a little cluttered, but you can tell from the picture that our new intercooler kit is different from everything else on the market. The biggest difference is that ours is an "Open-Air" design, allowing the supercharger to cool by the usual means of conduction, by flowing cool water through our IC sandwich, but also by convection, allowing the cooler surrounding air to further cool the IC sandwich, and prevent heat-soak after long periods of time. We also use a bar and plate IC core in the sandwhich, and an oversized front mount intercooler which is also bar and plate. Dimensions of this front mount are 26x9x3.5. Combine this with our aluminum intercooler coolant resevoir, and the total capacity of the intercooler system is 4 gallons, which is the same amount that the engine has. What this means to you is that the intercooler system will never be heat-soaked. We ran the vehicle in the picture above for 30 passes on the dyno, and you could still put your hand on the blower after all of that hard use.
We are currently working on wrapping up details like the tubes to plumb the intercooler kit, and we need a vehicle to test-fit the kit on and do some before and after dyno testing. If you are interested, e-mail us at mikem@milzymotorsports.com .
Please note this kit is designed only for use with the Gen V Eaton M90, which is the blower from a L32 3800 Series III engine, and will not work on a Gen III Eaton M90. If you have a vehicle with a Gen III, we suggest upgrading to the Gen V, which has a 20% larger outlet, and is much more efficient. Due to the significant cost to make another intercooler specifically for the Gen III M90, it is unsure at this time if this is something we will produce.
Also, please note that the pictures above are for a prototype version of the kit. The biggest difference is that the new design has the water inlet and outlet to the sandwich plate on the driver's side of the engine instead of the passenger side as in the pictures.
