If you're looking to make some serious power with your 3100, 3400, 3500, but you're worried about keeping your bottom end together, this is the solution to your problem. These race blocks are built to take the abuse of high boost turbo applications as well as high compression naturally-aspirated applications. Complete with forged pistons , stock forged crankshaft, stock powdered metal rods (which are stronger than forged rods) and ARP 2000 rod bolts, ARP head studs, ARP main studs, ARP oil pan side bolts (into the mains). Engines are balanced to allow for smoother operation at higher rpm's. Several different compression ratios are available to suit your application. Pistons are complete with valve reliefs to allow for safe lifts well over .600".
Why is this cheaper than a 3400 raceblock? Because we can use the 3500's stock rods instead of having to buy aftermarket forged rods. The 3500 has what are called "powdered-metal" rods which are extremely strong, even stronger than your typical Eaglo H-beam rods. If you currently have a 3100 or 3400, we also go ahead and install a 3400 style reluctor onto the crankshaft, eliminating the need for an external crank trigger.
Because we use only 3500 engines with a forged crankshaft to build these, the core 3500 engine must also have a forged crank. If you send us one without a forged crank, we will reduce the amount refunded by $200.
