These ARP rod bolts are made to fit the connecting rods of the 3500 LX9, 3500 LZ4, 3900 LZ9, and various 3.6L DOHC engines, which are known as "powdered metal" or "cracked" rods.  These will not fit 3100 and 3400 engines.  

The rod bolts are put under amazing amounts of stress under a heavy engine loads. These are a must for the serious engine builder. Made from 8740 Chromoly steel, with rolled threads for superior stud to block clamping pressure. These studs have a tensile strength of 220,000 PSI.

We recommend milling the rod caps at the bolt head location to maximize thread engagement.  Torque spec is 40 ft-lbs with included ARP Moly Lube.  If using the stretch method, stretch bolts to .0075 - .0080".
